This Drag Blues workshop is a fundraiser for my students to attend the International Association for Blacks in Dance conference in Los Angels, CA! The conference represents the broadest gathering of Black Dance professionals in the US and Internationally. It’s to empower and inspire my students of color who are typically not exposed to other dancers of color.

This workshop will be taught a bit differently than our Traditional Drag Blues classes. We’ll learn movement sequences that embed techniques of movement and connection, while striving for a consistent social dance experience.

Cost: $25 (pre-reg) / $30 (at door)

10:45 am - 11 am : Check in

11 am - 12:15 pm: Drag Blues Practice Routine 1

The start of our day will be a Drag Blues practice routine that covers all the basics in technique, but also teaches us partner moves for the social dance floor.

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Drag Blues Moves and Connection

We’ll approach Drag Blues connection a bit differently, by learning three different partner moves, each developing our

1:45 pm - 3:00 pm: Drag Blues Practice Routine 2

This routine will introduce new, fun concepts of Drag Blues for the social dance floor. We’ll build on our tecniques and connection and incorporate MUSICALITY.
