This is a Fusion-Partner-Dance-inspired evening with sparse but potent facilitation at particular moments to deepen an experience of omniscient, juicy communion. Based in Wren LaFeet and Antje Schafer’s work of Cocréa, and moving with the themes of “Dancing the Village”, Wren’s article in the book, Reinhabiting the Village, this dance is a vision of what’s possible in sharing movement and consciousness. Silk Drop’s sublime electronic dance music will guide us in a mindful partner dance journey employing connection, presence and flow with everyone in the room.
Becoming a village takes presence, guts and grace. Just like dancing with another body, it takes being open to working through the parts where we step on each other’s toes, bump into each other and disagree with each other’s choice in music. But it also means we get to relish the pure bliss of communion and harmony, and praise one another’s genius moves as we work through the challenges. Using the supportive structure of Fusion Partner Dance adapted into a role fluid format, take a trip into an embodied experience of dancing your village.
First 30 minutes will be an attunement with some group movement and dynamics exercises to charge the collective field. The next hour and 30 mintues will be a dance in which we press these techniques into an exploration of radical presence and see if we can co-create an experience of collective consciousness.
~Non-linguistic communication, except for that pertaining to consent and physical safety, is requested for the duration of the dance portion of the evening~
First 10 tickets $15!

Silk Drop is a collaborative project spearheaded by beat wizard Isaac Cotec, aka Subaqueous. The music fuses delectable beats with vulnerable female vocals and live strings. The result is a genre-bending lush soundscape. It blends the pop aesthetic with EDM, Trap, and R&B. Vocalist Heather Christie has recently been put on the national stage in American Idol’s final season.
As a self-organizing consciousness, Cocréa is synthesizing the myriad embodiment practices developed by humanity, guiding us into a deeper practice of presence and mastery of our physical, mental and spiritual selves. As we continue in our evolutionary process, Cocréa is on an INvolutionary pathway into our DNA, meeting us in a visionary field of awareness where dance and relationship merge to inspire, challenge, and prompt a new spiritual practice. In this new forum of applied spirituality, we can offer ourselves as conduits for this consciousness to move through; to model for and awaken in others sensual right relationship, intimacy with sovereignty, and radical presence and respect for the gift of life on this beautiful planet Earth.
